How To Crochet Pentagon Motif – Free Pattern by Avyastore.com

Flower motifs and geometric shapes have come a long way; from circles to squares, the crochet world is full of these patterns. I like to try beyond the circle and square. Today’s pattern is simple but has lots of math’s involved focusing on the spacing and shape.
The stitches used in this pattern are pretty simple here the focus is on each stitch worked row-wise as there are some variations. The motif has a pretty five-petal flower which is the centre of attraction. Have tried making this pentagon in two variety of yarns 2ply or yarn used to make dollies and the other is 3ply knitting yarn.

The 2ply yarn motif measures 2.5 inches are perfect for shawls, lace blouses, runners, table wears. The 3ply yarn motif measures 5.5 inches are suitable for blankets, bed covers, and tea coasters. I prefer making my crochet items in cotton threads; the pattern is well suited for wool also in case you want to make the same.

For closing the pattern, I have used a single crochet border; can be skipped for a large project.
